At age 82, Vic Jackson is an active outdoorsman who loves a challenge. In addition to “bathtub boating”, as a younger man, he also walked a one-day 50-mile hike in below zero Fahrenheit weather. Vic is currently an avid bicyclist who has peddled thousands of miles throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Vic is mostly retired from his career as an engineer, technician, communications system owner and consultant. During his career, he founded several successful telecommunications companies. He is a licensed instrument-rated commercial pilot and has enjoyed hobbies that include amateur radio (call sign W9NDM, and former W8BLP), running, flying, golfing, motorcycling, and fishing.
Vic lives with his wife, Karen Jackson in Okemos, MI and boasts a combined family of 9 children, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
